Carole Ramella
Carole is the Chair of the Board of Directors and an Investment Committee member of Aligned REIT, with more than 25 years of international experience in finance, fundraising, auditing, and advisory. She has worked across Europe and Africa with leading organisations including Paribas, Arthur Andersen, Gras Savoye, and Duff & Phelps, in roles ranging from auditor to manager to executive board member. Carole holds an MSc in Business Administration from INSEAD, an MSc in Finance from NEOMA Business School, and the French Chartered Accountant Exam (DECF).
Richard Darko
Richard is the CEO and a Director of Aligned REIT, overseeing corporate strategy, risk management, and the execution of mandates. With over 30 years of experience, he brings expertise in strategic planning, accounting, finance, management consulting, and portfolio management. His previous roles include CEO of the Student Loans Trust Fund, Director of Finance, Senior Accountant at the Controller and Accountant General’s Department, and Adjunct Lecturer at GIMPA. Richard holds an MBA from GIMPA, is an FCCA (UK), a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Directors in Ghana, and a graduate of KNUST.
Robin Bonnerjee
Robin is overseeing mandates and transactions across the firm, as one of the directors and is one of the market deal makers of Aligned REIT. He has more than 25 years of experience in financial investment, construction, and real estate development, including senior roles at Rabo Bank, ING, ABN AMRO, Merrill Lynch International Bank, and as CEO of Veerhouse Voda. Robin is also the founder and Managing Director of SLE Global and holds an MSc in Business Administration and a BSc in Economics from the University of Groningen.
Ernest Hanson
Ernest leads the Asset Management Division, and is one of the market deal makers of Aligned REIT. With over 20 years of experience in real estate development, strategy consulting, and investment banking across Europe and Africa, he brings deep expertise to the firm. He is also the founder and Managing Director of Beaufort Properties in Accra and holds a BSc in Economics and Geography from the London School of Economics.
